Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about our products, OEM process, and ordering.

OEM & Custom Products

What is the difference between OEM and ODM?

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) means we produce products according to your exact specifications — your formula, your packaging, your brand. You control the intellectual property. ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) means we provide our existing catalog designs with your brand label applied. OEM gives you full customization; ODM is faster and lower cost for standard products.

OEM order MOQ varies by product type and customization level:

Gift kits / starter sets: from 10 units
Standard gel polish colors (no custom formula): 30–50 sets
Custom formulation (your formula): 50 units minimum
Custom bottle/label design: 300 sets minimum
Custom box packaging: 500 sets minimum
We’re flexible for first orders — contact us to discuss your specific requirements.

Yes. Our R&D team can reverse-engineer color matches from physical samples or Pantone references. For formula matching, provide us with the SDS/MSDS of the target product and we’ll assess feasibility. Color matching is included in our OEM service. Formula reverse-engineering may require additional development time and a minimum order commitment.

Three (3) rounds of sample revision are included in every OEM project at no additional cost. If additional rounds are needed beyond the initial three, a small revision fee may apply depending on the scope of changes. We recommend providing very detailed briefs upfront to minimize revision cycles.

Products & Formulation

What does "7-Free" mean, and why does it matter?

7-Free refers to a gel polish formula that excludes seven common harmful ingredients: formaldehyde, toluene, DBP (dibutyl phthalate), formaldehyde resin, camphor, ethyl tosylamide, and xylene. These ingredients are known sensitisers and irritants. 7-Free formulas are safer for both nail technicians and clients, and are increasingly required by EU and Australian regulations.

HEMA (hydroxyethyl methacrylate) and TPO (trimethylbenzoyl diphenylphosphine oxide) are both common photoinitiators used in gel formulations. HEMA is being restricted in the EU due to allergenic potential. TPO-Free formulations are already required in some EU countries. We offer standard 7-Free (HEMA-containing), HEMA-Free, and full TPO-Free options. Your target market’s regulations will determine which is right for you.

Our gel polishes have a shelf life of 24 months when stored sealed in original packaging, at temperatures between 15–30°C, away from direct sunlight. Once opened and exposed to air, we recommend using within 12 months for optimal performance. Improper storage (heat, UV light) will accelerate degradation.

Ordering & MOQ

How do I place my first order?

The process is: 1) Submit an inquiry with your requirements → 2) Receive quotation within 24 hours → 3) Confirm specs and approve quote → 4) Pay 30% deposit → 5) Sample production (if applicable) → 6) Sample approval → 7) Bulk production → 8) Quality inspection → 9) Balance payment → 10) Shipping. We guide you through each step with your dedicated account manager.

For first orders, we accept T/T bank transfer (30% deposit, 70% balance before shipment). For regular buyers with established relationships, we can offer L/C at sight or payment through Alibaba Trade Assurance. We do not accept PayPal or credit cards for bulk orders due to high processing fees.

Yes. Sample lead time is 15–20 days. Sample pricing is at wholesale rates (same as bulk unit price). Shipping cost for samples is paid by the buyer. For custom formulations, sample cost is partially refundable if a bulk order of 200+ units is placed within 60 days of sample approval.

hipping & Logistics

How long does production and shipping take?

Production lead time: 20–35 days for standard/stock colors; 30–45 days for custom formulations; 35–50 days for custom packaging (bottles/labels/boxes). Shipping: Express (DHL/FedEx) 5–7 days door-to-door; Air freight 7–12 days; Sea freight 20–35 days. We handle all export documentation including commercial invoice, packing list, and COO (Certificate of Origin).

We offer FOB Nanchang (standard for first orders), CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight to destination port), and DDP (Delivered Duty Paid — door-to-door including customs clearance) for regular buyers. For large orders (500+ units), DDP is often the most cost-effective option as we have established relationships with freight forwarders.

Under FOB terms, customs clearance is the buyer’s responsibility. Under DDP terms, we handle it. We provide all required export documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, COO, MSDS, and any certificates your customs authority requires) at no extra cost. We have experience clearing goods in the USA, EU, UK, UAE, Australia, and Southeast Asia.

Certifications & Compliance

Which certifications can you provide?

We can provide: ISO 22716 (GMP) — our facility certification; MSDS — Material Safety Data Sheet for each product; SGS/Intertek test reports — third-party testing for ingredient safety; CE — EU safety compliance; CPNP — EU cosmetic notification; FDA — US FDA registration for cosmetics; REACH — EU chemical compliance. Not all certificates apply to all products — tell us your target market and we’ll prepare the right package.

Yes. For US market entry, we can provide FDA facility registration, MSDS sheets, and support with Safer Products Act documentation. Our products have been successfully imported into the USA under FDA cosmetics regulations. We recommend consulting a US regulatory specialist for labeling requirements (labeling rules differ by state).
